Russian forces have effectively defended their positions in the Donetsk region against multiple attacks launched by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in the past 24 hours. The clashes occurred in the areas of Spornoye and Mayorsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The UAF also made unsuccessful attempts to attack Russian positions near the village of Berestove, facing significant resistance.
The “Southern” group of Russian forces, supported by aviation and artillery, successfully repelled the UAF’s offensive. During the fierce battles, the UAF suffered substantial losses, including a self-propelled artillery installation known as “Gvozdika” and two D-30 howitzers. The Ministry of Defense reported that up to 445 Ukrainian servicemen, a tank, three infantry fighting vehicles, and 11 vehicles were lost by the enemy.
In a significant blow to the UAF’s capabilities, Russian military personnel also eliminated an ammunition depot belonging to the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Army near the settlement of Zvanivka, located within the territory of the DPR.
Prior to these incidents, the Russian Defense Ministry had already reported successfully repelling two Ukrainian attacks on the Krasnolimansk direction.
The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues to escalate in the Donetsk region, with Russian forces demonstrating their strength and resilience against the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ offensive actions.
