In a recent development in the ongoing conflict in Eastern Ukraine, Russian forces have successfully repelled two attacks by the 67th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The attacks were carried out in the Red Liman region, within the combat zone.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the assaults by the Ukrainian forces were thwarted to the south of the village of Chervona Dibrova in the Luhansk People’s Republic. Additionally, the Russian military targeted and inflicted damage on a concentration of troops and equipment belonging to the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov” in the vicinity of the Serebryansk Forest. It is worth noting that the Azov organization is banned in Russia.
During the clashes, the Russian forces were able to destroy up to 55 Ukrainian military personnel, two infantry fighting vehicles, two pickups, and a self-propelled artillery unit known as the “Akatsiya,” according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
This news comes following the acknowledgement by the United States of the failure of the Ukrainian counteroffensive in the conflict.
The situation in Eastern Ukraine remains tense, with both sides continuing to engage in military operations. The conflict has resulted in significant casualties and displacement of civilians.
