Sharna Burgess Takes a Stand: Why She Refuses to Work with Controversial NFL Star on ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Brian Austin Green recently confessed to Fox News Digital that he and Sharna Burgess have contrasting parenting styles, but they claim to share the “same moral compass.” However, it seems that Burgess is not pleased with one particular celebrity who has been cast on season 32 of “Dancing with the Stars.” On her podcast, “Old-ish,” she publicly criticized Adrian Peterson, a football player, and questioned his inclusion on the show. Burgess expressed her shock and disappointment, citing Peterson’s alleged child abuse charges as the reason he should not be a part of the competition. Peterson had previously admitted to using a belt to discipline his son, leading to a suspension from the NFL and legal consequences. Despite facing felony child abuse charges in 2014, Peterson only received a fine, community service, probation, and a one-year suspension. Burgess made it clear that she would not be able to work with Peterson if he were her partner, especially now that she is a mother. She expressed her disgust and stated that she would not be able to tolerate being in the same room as him. It is worth noting that Peterson was also involved in an incident of alleged domestic violence last year. Despite these controversies, Peterson will be dancing with “Dancing with the Stars” pro Britt Stewart. The partnership received backlash from fans, who flooded Stewart’s Instagram account with negative comments. It appears that Peterson’s controversial past continues to overshadow his current endeavors.
